Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Anthony Scott
Letter No.:
VWL2728
October 5th [1953]
10 Hanover Terrace, N.W.1.
My dear Tony,
I do not think we can go so far as to withdraw it now, but Alan Frank has promised to revise the title page when a new edition comes out. He declares that I knew all about it. All I can remember is that he wrote to ask me if I wanted a share of the Royalties, to which I replied that as I had written neither the tune, the harmonies nor the words, I did not see how I came in. We won’t worry about it any more if you are not worried.1
Our love to Ruth,
Yrs
